Hello Make It and Love It readers! It is Emma from Crafting{E}! I am so excited to be sharing these festive and easy 4th of July Parade Bags with you!

I absolutely LOVE the 4th of July! It is definitely one of my favorite holidays. I love what it celebrates (our country and our freedom) which is so special and important to me. I also love all of the fun activities that go along with it like the parades and barbecues. It is such a wonderful time to be with family. And did I mention the colors? Yeah, I’;m pretty much obsessed with red, whiteburlap pillow cover diy, and blue around 4th of July.

One of my favorite parts of celebrating the 4th of July are the parades. I live in Arizona and the city I live in doesn’;t have parades or celebrations because (let’;s be honest) it’;s too hot and no one really wants to be outside (haha). Because of this, whenever we are somewhere on 4th of July where they have a parade it is twice as exciting!

We always have a blast at parades , but it seems like we always forget bags for when they throw out candy. I designed these DIY parade bags to solve that problem. They are the perfect size for little kids (or big kids) to collect candy in.

They are on the smaller side, but they hold the perfect amount of candy. Plus, they are small enough that kids can carry them around themselves instead of having the parents carry them for them.

I used fabric transfer sheets to transfer the image of the design onto the bag.

Have you ever used them before? They are game changing! They are way easier than freezer paper stenciling and you don’;t have to worry about buying the color of pain that you need. They are a little pricey, but in my opinion, it is totally worth it.

All you need to do is print your design onto the transfer paper (make sure your image is the mirror image of what you want it to look like), cut it out, and iron it onto the bag.

Super easy, right? Also, I bought all of the goodies inside the bag from the dollar store.Talk about a cheap craft!

Now, iron the design onto your bag. I would recommend following the directions on your pack of transfers. What I did was I laid a pillow case on my counter and ironed the bag onto of it. Make sure to iron the entire thing because you want the image to stay on the bag. When you are ironing also make sure to focus on the edges and use lots of pressure to allow the design to adhere to the bag.

Thanks for reading everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful Fourth of July! Make sure to check out my blog for other projects you can make with Fabric Transfer Paper!
